Heroes for Homeless Animals is very excited to be
hosting an event for National Pitbull Awareness Day! We are a very reputable group that rescues mostly bully breeds. On October
24th from 2-5pm we are hosting a fun event during the grand opening of the new Petco store in Warren. The address is 28400
Dequindre Road Warren, MI 48092. We will be hosting a microchip clinic on that day also. Come get your dog microchipped for
$30 with no registration or monthly fees. There will be pet costume contests, a "Smoochin' Bullies" kissing booth, face painting,
and lots of educational materials. We will also be holding an adoption event. What a fun day! Bring your bully up for the
festivities! Help us to continue to educate the public and help the media to stop the promoting the negative views and stereotypes
of this awesome breed. Here is the UKC's description of a pitbull terrier: "The essential characteristics of the American
Pit Bull Terrier are strength, confidence, and zest for life. This breed is eager to please and brimming over with enthusiasm.
APBTs make excellent family companions and have always been noted for their love of children. The APBT is not the best choice
for a guard dog since they are extremely friendly, even with strangers. Aggressive behavior toward humans is uncharacteristic
of the breed and highly undesirable. This breed does very well in performance events because of its high level of intelligence
and its willingness to work. |
