A group of concerned citizens have been working for the last few months on making a proposal
to the city of Bluefield about the problem. The group felt the need to take
proactive approach towards protecting the children of the community by proposing new and stricter pit bull regulations.
Union Mission Director Craig Hammond says that pit bulls are a "real problem" in the area.
The review committee has had preliminary discussion with the
city, and the review is nearly complete.
