These beautiful and sweet dogs are currently at the Cookeville/Putnam County Animal Shelter in Cookeville, Tennessee awaiting adoption or release to rescue.

On December 23, 2008, a Silver Spring, Tennessee woman was arrested for animal cruelty.  She had not fed or watered her dogs - pit bulls - for a minimum of two weeks.  An article in the local paper can be found at this link: http://www.herald-citizen.com/index.cfm?....74AAFF75C7742B2
I saw these poor creatures at the shelter back in December and January, and they looked like walking skeletons.  It has been three months, they have been temperament tested, their weight has been built back up, and they are healthy and look absolutely fantastic!

These babies have now been brought back to good health and will be spayed or neutered prior to adoption or release to rescue -- NO EXCEPTIONS.

These guys are ready for new homes and new lives...maybe you are just the person they've been waiting for!
